MyPOS Acquires UTP

London-based fintech myPOS has completed its second acquisition of the year, acquiring payments company UTP Group. Financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed.

Established in 2013, UTP is a UK firm that offers a range of payment services, including portable and countertop card machines, tap-to-pay solutions, e-commerce options, and flexible funding arrangements for thousands of SMEs.

With UTP’s direct sales force and established client base, myPOS is well-positioned to support a greater number of businesses and drive further growth in the UK market.

Mario Shiliashki, CEO of myPOS, stated, “By combining forces with UTP, myPOS will deliver superior solutions faster, enabling businesses to grow and scale without high upfront costs.”

This acquisition follows myPOS’s first-ever purchase earlier this year, which involved French cash register company Toporder.
