Thoughtworks, a prominent global technology consulting firm, has established a Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA) with Amazon Web Services (AWS). This partnership aims to support enterprises in the Asia Pacific region as they implement generative AI (GenAI) solutions and address various industry challenges.
The primary objectives of this collaboration include enhancing operational efficiency, improving customer engagement, and driving revenue growth across multiple sectors, including automotive, healthcare, energy, financial services, and media.
Key components of the SCA include:
-
Integration with Thoughtworks Haiven: This AI-enabled knowledge amplifier is designed to work seamlessly with Amazon Bedrock, facilitating a streamlined approach to GenAI adoption throughout the software delivery lifecycle and simplifying complex initiatives.
-
AI Expertise Development: Thoughtworks has already trained over 70 employees on AWS GenAI tools, such as Amazon Bedrock and Amazon Q, with plans to enhance this capability by training an additional 200 individuals over the next year.
-
Regional Expansion: The partnership focuses on strengthening Thoughtworks’ operations in key Asia Pacific markets, including Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam, to better serve local clientele.
- AWS Marketplace Availability: Thoughtworks’ innovative AI solutions will soon be available in the AWS Marketplace, enabling broader access for customers.
Andy Nolan, Thoughtworks’ head of emerging technologies in Asia Pacific, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, "Our strategic partnership with AWS will enable us to deliver transformative, industry-focused solutions that drive exceptional efficiency, innovation, and competitive advantage for our clients. This marks a significant step in our commitment to help organizations unlock the full potential of AI and shape the future of their industries."
Corrie Briscoe, AWS’s director of partner sales for Asia Pacific Japan, highlighted the vital role of AWS partners in fostering industry innovation and meeting customer demands. She remarked, "We are excited to deepen our collaboration with Thoughtworks through this SCA, aimed at accelerating GenAI innovation not just in Asia Pacific but globally. By harnessing AWS’s latest cloud technologies, including GenAI, we can assist our joint clients in designing, building, and delivering GenAI solutions efficiently and at scale."
A notable success story from the Thoughtworks and AWS partnership is PEXA Group, a digital property exchange platform. Using Thoughtworks’ expertise, PEXA developed a GenAI Assistant on Amazon Bedrock, drastically reducing property query response times from one minute to just five seconds, significantly enhancing employee productivity.
PEXA’s CTO, Eglantine Etiemble, lauded the collaboration, saying, "Our ambitious GenAI initiative was made possible by combining top-tier technology resources from the industry. The deep expertise of Thoughtworks, paired with AWS’s cutting-edge capabilities, has opened up exciting avenues for innovation. We are thrilled to see these two organizations working together again to harness the meaningful applications of AI in businesses like PEXA."
