The European Banking Authority (EBA) has issued a call for tender seeking blockchain analytics services and data related to crypto-assets markets.
The EBA aims to gain access to real-time information on crypto-assets and their markets via a subscription model. The tender is divided into two sections: one focusing on blockchain analytics and forensics data, with a budget of approximately EUR 240,000, and the other on crypto-assets market data, valued at around EUR 120,000.
The EBA explains that this data is essential for effectively monitoring and evaluating developments in digital finance, particularly regarding the banking and payments sectors’ exposure to crypto-assets. Additionally, this initiative is intended to enhance consumer protection by identifying and mitigating potential consumer detriment and to prevent the use of the financial system for money laundering and terrorist financing activities.
