Bank of Africa United Kingdom has migrated its core banking systems to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
Oracle states that OCI will provide the lender with flexible, secure, and high-performance computing resources that were not available with its previous on-premises systems. This includes the capabilities needed to conduct advanced analytics on core banking applications. Additionally, OCI is expected to enhance system performance across the bank’s essential applications and services, such as trading, payments processing, and risk management.
Mohammed Anouar Kouhen, COO of Bank of Africa UK, commented: “Cloud technologies are now foundational to how we design and scale new products and services, innovate for our customers, and run our core banking operations. Our collaboration with Oracle is crucial for advancing our transformation program.
“Our applications running on OCI benefit from a flexible platform that allows us to adapt and scale critical services quickly and provides significantly improved performance, security controls, and cost efficiencies.”
