The hacking collective Anonymous has reportedly breached the Central Bank of Russia.
The announcement was made via Twitter from one of the group’s accounts, @YourAnonTV, stating that more than 35,000 files will be released within 48 hours, including what the group describes as secret agreements. In their tweet, they emphasized their cyber operation with the hashtag #OpRussia.
While the specific content of the files has not been disclosed, the Central Bank of Russia has been actively working to safeguard the national economy in light of significant sanctions imposed by Western nations following the country’s invasion of Ukraine.
Additionally, Anonymous has claimed to have accessed unsecured printers throughout Russia, using them to disseminate anti-propaganda messages related to the ongoing conflict.
