Private equity firm Gallant Capital Partners has acquired payments consultancy and testing specialist Fime along with the UL Solutions payments testing business, merging the two entities. Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
Under the Fime brand, the newly combined business aims to become a global leader in payments, smart mobility, and digital identity. Fime, headquartered in Paris, employs over 800 individuals worldwide and assists clients in creating and launching products and services.
Fime CEO Lionel Grosclaude notes that the integration with UL Solutions’ payments business significantly enhances the company’s geographic reach. This expansion enables access to business and technical consultancy, as well as compliance and quality assurance testing services, in over 25 countries across major regions.
Additionally, Fime’s increased flexibility will enable it to adapt to evolving trends such as open banking, instant payments, central bank digital currencies, digital wallets, open payments, and digital identity. Grosclaude emphasizes that this expanded portfolio of products and services will empower the company to support projects from ideation and implementation through to testing and successful launch.
