Man Arrested for Using Dummy with taped Photos in Mobile Banking Facial Recognition Scheme

Brazilian police have arrested a man accused of manipulating mobile banking facial recognition technology by taping photos of victims’ faces onto dummies to secure loans illegally.

The suspect was apprehended in Barueri, where authorities confiscated a substantial collection of large victim photographs, ammunition for a firearm, 17 card machines, and a safe meant for storing cards. Reports indicate that the individual used these cutout photos with the face ID feature to access the victims’ mobile banking accounts and subsequently apply for loans.
