Fiserv Appoints Ex-JPMorgan Payments Leader Georgakopoulos

Fiserv has appointed Takis Georgakopoulos, the former global head of payments at JPMorgan Chase, as a senior advisor, executive vice president, and member of the management committee.

This announcement follows Georgakopoulos’s departure from JPMorgan after a 17-year career with the company. At Fiserv, he will collaborate closely with the executive team to enhance client outcomes and implement top-tier technology throughout the organization.

Frank Bisignano, CEO of Fiserv, commented, “Takis’s extensive payments and leadership experience, along with his operational expertise, will greatly strengthen our team as we strive to create value for our clients while continuing to invest in our products, services, and personnel.”

During his tenure at JPMorgan, Georgakopoulos significantly expanded the payments business, which processed $10 trillion daily and generated $2.4 billion in revenue during the first quarter—surpassing the investment banking sector.
