Wealthtech Startup Vega Launches from Stealth Mode with $8 Million Funding Round

Vega, a UK wealthtech platform founded by a team of former executives from top hedge funds, private equity firms, and fintech scale-ups, has officially launched with over $8 million in equity investment.

With Vega, users can construct diversified portfolios that include private asset classes like private equity, venture capital, private credit, and real assets, alongside public equities, fixed income, and commodities. The platform is also in the process of developing a suite of liquidity and financial planning tools tailored for financial advisors.

“As a new generation of high-net-worth individuals emerges, we are developing the financial products and technological infrastructure necessary for the wealth management industry to serve them effectively,” says Alexis Augier, founder and CEO of Vega. “Our mission is to create a unified wealth management platform that enhances the experience for end-users while providing advisors with institutional-grade solutions.”

The founding team at Vega comprises financial professionals from esteemed investment firms such as Elliott, Blackstone, KKR, and Goldman Sachs, along with product and engineering specialists from prominent fintech companies including Revolut and Trade Republic.

“Vega was inspired by our firsthand frustration with the disparity between the sophistication we experienced as institutional investors and the fragmented, mass-market private wealth solutions available to us personally,” states Alfonso Bauzá de Mirabó, co-founder and COO of Vega. “We brought together a team that shares this experience and is committed to addressing this gap and redefining wealth management. Our unique approach leverages our team’s combined expertise in investing and technology.”

Vega has received backing from Motive Ventures, Picus Capital, Citi Ventures, No Label Ventures, and over 60 angel investors from leading investment firms like KKR, Blackstone, and Permira, as well as fintech executives with leadership experience at companies such as N26, Trade Republic, and Klarna.
