Former Revolut Executives Launch Digital Wallet

A group of former staff from Revolut, Coinbase, and Spotify has launched Zeal, a digital wallet designed for managing cryptocurrency and interacting with web3 and decentralized finance applications.

Founded by Hannes Graah, a former VP for growth at Revolut and a Spotify executive, Zeal aims to provide a comprehensive solution for users’ financial needs while addressing the user experience limitations of existing wallets. The wallet seeks to integrate on-chain and real-world finance, ensuring a smoother experience.

To tackle current security concerns, Zeal will incorporate advanced safety checks and transaction previews for web3 activities, helping to protect users from scams and hacks. Additionally, it introduces a feature that enables users to transfer USDC from the Polygon network to their bank accounts at no cost.

Graah emphasizes, “The status quo for wallets is not good enough. Clunky wallets built for technocrats or the casino are hard to use and can lead to financial losses. People need a wallet that’s safe, easy to use, and works seamlessly with blockchain networks and the real world. We need something that’s easier than cash, safer than a bank, and allows access to the best of all worlds.”

Currently, the wallet is in development and available by invitation only, with plans for a broader release in the first quarter of 2024.
