Finnish-founded card issuer and payment processor Enfuce is introducing its innovative two-in-one debit and credit card to the UK, France, and Germany.
In the Nordics, the concept of a ‘combination card’ has become standard, though it is less prevalent in other parts of Europe. The E2 Mastercard allows users to access both credit and debit capabilities through a single card with one PIN, enabling cardholders to choose their default payment method and switch between options seamlessly at the point of sale.
Enfuce emphasizes that this solution offers an alternative to transferring funds between accounts, giving users greater control over their finances and helping them avoid overdraft fees. Each application is tied to its own account, ensuring that funds are drawn from the appropriate source.
The company is targeting issuers, highlighting that the dual-PAN feature eliminates the need for multiple cards, enhances flexibility, and reduces plastic waste. Additionally, clients can customize card options with features such as real-time limit adjustments and controls.
Denise Johansson, co-CEO of Enfuce, stated, “We believe that our 2-in-1 card could soon become an industry norm, as it has in the Nordics. We’re proud to fill a notable gap in the market for both banks and consumers, supporting the vibrant fintech ecosystem in the UK, France, and Germany.”
