Qatar’s Karty Secures $2 Million for Digital Wallet Development

Qatari digital wallet startup Karty is preparing for its launch following the acquisition of over US$2 million in seed funding.

Karty aims to provide an e-wallet that facilitates payments, instant peer-to-peer money transfers, and daily spending oversight, along with the ability to track spending patterns through interactive charts. The startup has received initial approval for development and demonstration from local bank Masraf Al Rayan and is currently awaiting final approval and licensing from the Qatar Central Bank before the launch.

Mohammed Suleiman, CEO of Karty, stated, "This robust backing positions us ideally for a dynamic market entry and the launch of an integrated platform that promises to revolutionize financial transactions with enhanced ease and security."
