Pav Gill, the whistleblower instrumental in exposing the issues surrounding German payment processor Wirecard, has launched a new platform called Confide. This initiative aims to empower employees and shareholders to voice their concerns regarding corporate missteps without fear of retaliation or exposure.
Gill explains that Confide will provide organizations with critical insights into potential “game-over events” that senior leadership may overlook until it’s too late. The platform facilitates secure and confidential internal reporting, ensuring concerns are not suppressed by middle management or inadequate reporting channels. Additionally, it establishes an audit trail to support any necessary investigations.
After being ousted from Wirecard for reporting that suggested the company was manipulating its financials, and claiming that an executive at Wirecard Asia was teaching staff to mislead auditors, Gill emphasizes the mission of Confide. “Our goal is to give companies an early detection tool to address serious concerns internally, fostering integrity and preventing potential scandals,” he states. “Unlike existing ‘glorified inbox’ solutions, our platform is committed to promoting a corporate environment where swift, internal issue resolution is standard—benefiting employees, organizations, and lawmakers alike. By digitizing the internal investigation process, we not only save time and costs but also build trust in the whistleblowing channel.”
Looking to the future, Confide has plans to establish its European operational base in The Hague and to enhance its features, which will include integrating AI-driven risk assessments and improving compatibility with corporate systems.
